The same proven formulation has been carefully refined with simplified directions, making it accessible for both first-time tanners and experienced professionals.
NuTan produces a soft, white skin with excellent stretch, and once fully dried into the hide, it will not wash out. This stability makes it a dependable choice for both taxidermy tanning and flat skin applications where long-term durability is essential.
Unlike other tanning agents on the market, NuTan is formulated using custom-reacted polymers produced in-house from the highest quality raw materials available. Orders are generally shipped within 1-2 business days. Our standard business hours are Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM (Mountain Time).
NOTE: Once your order has been fulfilled and the shipping carrier has possession, it is out of our hands. The risk of loss passes to you once Merit has delivered your item(s) to the shipping carrier. We are not responsible for any shipping delays or problems once your order has been shipped. If you do have any problems (ie. your package is said to have been delivered, but it is not there) please reach out to the carrier directly.

Do you ship outside of the United States?
At this time, Advanced Tanning Solutions ships within the United States and Canada. This ensures fast and reliable, delivery directly from our U.S. warehouse. We’re actively exploring international options—join our mailing list to be notified when worldwide shipping becomes available.
How fast will my order ship?
Orders are generally processed and shipped within 1–2 business days. Most customers receive their packages within 2–5 business days via domestic carriers. Tracking numbers are automatically emailed once your order leaves our facility so you can follow it every step of the way.
What if something arrives damaged or missing?
If your order arrives incomplete or damaged, contact our U.S.-based support team immediately at info@advancedtanningsolutions.com, or 303-444-1470. We’ll make it right—fast. What is your return or exchange policy?
We stand behind the quality of our products. If you’re not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of delivery for a return authorization. Due to the nature of chemical tanning supplies, only unused and unopened products can be returned. Refunds are available on all non-specialty products. Return shipping charges are non-refundable.
Exceptions:
- 30-gallon and 55-gallon drums
- Custom products blended for a specific customer
- Used or altered products
- Items not in original condition
Return Process:
- Contact Advanced Tanning Solutions within 7 days of delivery to request an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization).
- Return the product in original packaging with the RMA clearly marked.
- Use trackable shipping. Refunds are issued once the product is received in good condition.

Are Advanced Tanning Solutions tanning chemicals safe to use?
Our hide and fur tanning solutions are not regulated for transport and do not fall under Prop 65. They are formulated for safe commercial or home use when handled according to the instructions. We recommend standard PPE—gloves, apron, and eye protection—for best practice and safety.
Are your tanning kits beginner-friendly?
Absolutely. Our DIY Hide, Fur and Snake Tanning Kits are designed for both beginners and seasoned tanners. Each kit includes step-by-step instructions, easy-to-measure components, and access to video tutorials hosted on our YouTube channel.
