Hide Relaxer XL7 is a highly active, concentrated rehydrating agent formulated to relax hard, dried, and difficult-to-rehydrate hides and skins. Its fast-activating formula reduces rehydration time while helping minimize the risk of bacterial growth and hair slippage during the process.
This rehydrating agent remains stable in the presence of electrolytes, which aids in deeper penetration of tanning agents once the hide is properly relaxed. Hide Relaxer XL7 is especially effective on hard-dried African hides and hides or skins that have been salt dried for extended periods. A special process is also available for treating grease-burned skins.
In addition to rehydration, Hide Relaxer XL7 opens surface fibers, making shaving easier and more consistent, and improving overall tanning results.

Do you ship outside of the United States?
At this time, Advanced Tanning Solutions ships within the United States and Canada. This ensures fast and reliable, delivery directly from our U.S. warehouse. We’re actively exploring international options—join our mailing list to be notified when worldwide shipping becomes available.
How fast will my order ship?
Orders are generally processed and shipped within 1–2 business days. Most customers receive their packages within 2–5 business days via domestic carriers. Tracking numbers are automatically emailed once your order leaves our facility so you can follow it every step of the way.
What if something arrives damaged or missing?

What is your return or exchange policy?
We stand behind the quality of our products. If you’re not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of delivery for a return authorization. Due to the nature of chemical tanning supplies, only unused and unopened products can be returned. Refunds are available on all non-specialty products. Return shipping charges are non-refundable.
Exceptions:
- 30-gallon and 55-gallon drums
- Custom products blended for a specific customer
- Used or altered products
- Items not in original condition
Return Process:
- Contact Advanced Tanning Solutions within 7 days of delivery to request an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization).
- Return the product in original packaging with the RMA clearly marked.
- Use trackable shipping. Refunds are issued once the product is received in good condition.

Are Advanced Tanning Solutions tanning chemicals safe to use?
Our hide and fur tanning solutions are not regulated for transport and do not fall under Prop 65. They are formulated for safe commercial or home use when handled according to the instructions. We recommend standard PPE—gloves, apron, and eye protection—for best practice and safety.
Are your tanning kits beginner-friendly?
