Fur Oil
Fur Oil is a light-weight swabbing oil formulated from a blend of natural and synthetic oils and polymers, with added antioxidants for long-term stability. It is used after tanning with Pickle Tan A-21 and is specifically suited for smaller fur bearing mammal skins. These fur skins are thinner and require a lighter oil.
This swabbing oil is also included in our Tan-a-Fur DIY tanning kit.
This oil produces a soft, supple, and stretchy leather while permanently fixing to the leather fibers to prevent wash-out and oil migration. Fur Oil allows hides and skins to be easily rehydrated, making it an excellent choice for taxidermy tanning applications where flexibility and stretch are critical.
Antioxidants are added to prevent oxidation, providing excellent shelf life and consistent performance. Fur Oil leaves a clean, non-oily feel to the tanned leather and contains no foul odors. It is recommended for small fur-bearing mammals such as rabbit, fox, raccoon, coyote, wolf, and similar skins.

Do you ship outside of the United States?
At this time, Advanced Tanning Solutions ships within the United States and Canada. This ensures fast and reliable, delivery directly from our U.S. warehouse. We’re actively exploring international options—join our mailing list to be notified when worldwide shipping becomes available.
How fast will my order ship?
Orders are generally processed and shipped within 1–2 business days. Most customers receive their packages within 2–5 business days via domestic carriers. Tracking numbers are automatically emailed once your order leaves our facility so you can follow it every step of the way.
What if something arrives damaged or missing?

What is your return or exchange policy?
We stand behind the quality of our products. If you’re not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of delivery for a return authorization. Due to the nature of chemical tanning supplies, only unused and unopened products can be returned. Refunds are available on all non-specialty products. Return shipping charges are non-refundable.
Exceptions:
- 30-gallon and 55-gallon drums
- Custom products blended for a specific customer
- Used or altered products
- Items not in original condition
Return Process:
- Contact Advanced Tanning Solutions within 7 days of delivery to request an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization).
- Return the product in original packaging with the RMA clearly marked.
- Use trackable shipping. Refunds are issued once the product is received in good condition.

Are Advanced Tanning Solutions tanning chemicals safe to use?
Our hide and fur tanning solutions are not regulated for transport and do not fall under Prop 65. They are formulated for safe commercial or home use when handled according to the instructions. We recommend standard PPE—gloves, apron, and eye protection—for best practice and safety.
